20 Minutes of Freedom

Commit to writing for 20 minutes each day for Week 1. You pick the time. It can be in the morning when you wake up or at night before you go to bed. Maybe you'll choose to write when you feel the urge to eat when you're not hungry or overeat or when you feel tempted to swing through the drive through of your favorite fast food restaurant. You can write about whatever you want. It can be about your struggles with food or whatever happens to be on your mind. Black Ginger

food

Ingredients:

1 TBSP organic black strap molasses
1 cap-full of organic, raw, unfiltered apple-cider vinegar
1/4 tsp of grated or powdered ginger
8 ounces hot water

Instructions:

Pour the molasses in a cup
Add vinegar and ginger
Add 8 ounces of hot water

Why? It's good for you. It's nourishing to your body. Just trust me and commit to it for Week 1. Drink it in the morning or at night or whenever you want, and do it daily for Week 1. Food is wonderful and good. You have to eat. You're going to eat. You want to eat. Start developing a desire for good eats by establishing healthy food rituals. Black Ginger in the morning to start your day or at night to end your day is a healthy food ritual. Give it a try.

I doubt you are acting out your food addiction with raspberries and brussels sprouts.

It's probably more along the lines of chips, donuts, fast food and other processed, packaged and prepared items that can even cause a non-food-addicted person to crave (bet ya can't eat just one) and desire more and more of the same item due to food additives and non-food ingredients (yellow dye #5).

These things are unhealthy and it's a lot easier to untangle the mind-body-emotion connection that causes you to hunger and need food for non-nourishment purposes when you can clear the impurities from these foods from your body. These impurities, quite honestly, do physically cause you to want more.

Cleansing helps you to begin to untangle this knot and come to know freedom.

The experience of hurt is good. How would you know that something is bad for you if you didn't hurt?

Hurt informs you that something is wrong.

Hurt is what you will feel when bad is being recognized, identified, extracted and removed from you.

It's a good thing because it means that the source of your problem is being removed and soon you will hurt no more.

This kind of hurt is what's commonly referred to as withdrawal.

It means that you are changing, being purged and cleansed.

Transitioning from an ill state to a healthy state is going to release the hurt that has been locked away and stored within the body through physiology and through emotionally sedating pain with substances instead of acknowledging and confronting the cause of the pain.

You can't wake up one day to live in the life you desire doing the same old things that you've always done, thinking the same old thoughts that you've always thought and believing what you've always believed.
